Into this rich tradition steps Cafe Noir, a comfort-to-go food spot with a gourmet twist that has quickly found its place in the neighborhood since opening in August 2023.

ESO Ventures: July 10, 2025

Café Noir is a gourmet take on pick-up and to-go food. It’s also the sister restaurant of Cook and Run, a private chef and catering services business. Both are Marisa’s projects—and both have tapped into ESO’s Capital in the Community Fund (CICF) to take off running.

Prescott Market celebrated its grand opening on April 5, ushering seven new food and drink businesses into the often overlooked Oakland neighborhood: Almanac Beer Co., Fast Times Burgers, Highwire Coffee Roasters, Pizzeria Violetta, Prescott Meats and Delicatessen, Woo Can Cook and Cafe Noir.
